A missional order…
What would happen if alongside the Church a healthy crop of missional orders would sprout up? Organized blooms of spiritual direction and social action…
Would the Church feel threatened? What kind of ecclesiology allows for manifold expressions of worshipping/missional communities oriented around seeking the Kingdom of God? Would it be possible to lay down old structures–top down vision and program, investing in overhead–the corporate culture–brand name–marketing…? Church as worshipping community living the Gospel incarnationally…
How does a missional order relate to the Church–at least in the congregational expression?

are you going? If so, come back and tell us how this is different/similar to an intentional community concept.

hey - i hope you come. as one of the speakers at this event, i think we will explore how to transcend the current structures (church, mission agency, intentional community, monastic order, charity, etc) to find a new way to really be the church in today’s world.

Alas, I am not planning to attend this event. I look forward to seeing what kind of ideas emerge from this discussion.

It would be interesting to see if any ideas have been put forward as input to the event too.
