I have been following the conversations surrounding the cancellation of an invitation for Shane Claiborne to speak at Cedarville University with keen interest. Jeremy Bouma posted a letter from Dr. Ruby at his blog. Jeremy is a Cedarville alum and offers a unique perspective on the events of the last week.

That was a great letter. I wont pretend to know what it is to be a dean of a college. I know there are many hard decisions to make. Sure we all have our opinions, but at the day we dont have to live with those on this subject. Hopefully this is a place for growth and grace in their community.
