The cost of the Iraq War is staggering. I watched the last bit of a special by Bill Moyers on PBS last evening. I was sickened.

Can a leader ever admit a policy mistake while in office?

Mission accomplished?

Can the United States afford to spend 10 more years in Iraq?

15-month tours of duty…

The rhetoric of ideologues…

A dangerous path…

“collateral damage”

It is so sad that after all the years of “Never Again” and other protests that so many suffer. When will we learn? Why is the solution to kill our brothers and sisters even if we don’t recognize them as such? What will we say to Christ when the time comes? I was doing your will? Where is that in Gospels? Wasn’t it feeding the hungry and clothing the naked and tending to the sick and widows and visiting the prisioners etc? God help us! FrBrian Flanagan
